Standard Learning Session is £7.50 + VAT per pupil.

Our outreach sessions have an additional charge of 40p per mile for our facilitators travel costs to your school from our museums site.

Session Description: The session begins with an exploration of the Viking settlement of Britain and the conflicts with the Anglo-Saxons, with particular reference to Derby. Pupils will examine a replica Viking burial, complete a ‘Skeleton Recording Sheet’ and learn how to use objects to find out information about a person’s life and status. Children will write a postcard using Viking runes for their classmates to decipher.
