Institute of STEAM

Derby Museums’ learning programmes use STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) as an interdisciplinary approach, through which to learn and understand the world and other people.

Derby's Cultural Education Partnership

Derby Museums is a key partner in Derby’s Cultural Education Partnership (DCEP), an initiative which has been developed in response to the Arts Council of England’s Cultural Education Challenge, launched in October 2015.

Midlands Maker Challenge

The Midlands Maker Challenge is an exciting programme of making challenges for young people (11 and upwards) and draws on the rich manufacturing heritage of the Midlands and aims to empower young people to be the makers of the future.
