In the heart of Derby city centre lies The Museum and Art Gallery where there is always something new to see, from our collection of Joseph Wright paintings, which is the largest in the world, to touring exhibitions, to an award winning Coffee House. The Museum and Art Gallery is a maze of historic architecture and intriguing collections, each room very different from the last.   • Tuesday-Saturday 10.30am - 4.30pm
  • Sunday 12pm - 4pm

Find the door

The main entrance to the Museum and Art Gallery can be found on The Strand. The door is opposite the end of Sadler Gate and within view of Bold Lane car park. It is not possible to enter the building through the adjoining Derby Library.
