A brand-new addition to the Silk Mill, the Civic Hall is a bright and modern entrance to the Museum. The innovative glass construction alongside the original brickwork of the main Mill building brings together the old and new architecture.  A Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine and a cross section of a Toyota car hang as the centrepieces from the triple height ceiling, highlighting the importance of Derby on the global manufacturing map. This adaptable space can function as a reception area for drinks prior to a dinner, or as a breakout space from the Italian Mill for more formal events or parties.
