The Ethical Atelier returns to the Museum of Making, making ethical shopping and learning simple for you.

Knowing what is genuinely ethical fashion can be really confusing, this event is designed to make it simple. Here is how:

– 20+ carefully curated Ethical fashion brands you can shop

– Hands-on clothing repair workshops – Beginners sewing machine workshop and Sashiko mat making workshop – separate pre booking is essential

– Shop #preloved, vintage and production samples

– Q&A sessions with industry experts discussing sustainable and ethical fashion

 

About Abigail Wastie

Abigail is a passionate activist for sustainable fashion, encouraging and advising others on how they can create their own wardrobe free from human and environmental exploitation.

With previous industry experience at luxury and ethical fashion brands. Abigail now runs a sustainable sewing business from her home in Allestree Derby where she helps students new and old to sewing learn how to curate and maintain a handmade eco-friendly wardrobe. She also runs large ethical shopping and education events in Derby such as Derby’s Ethical Christmas Market and the Ethical Atelier.
