Climate change, resource scarcity, unequal distribution of wealth and economic opportunity, financial instability and social unrest are disruptions facing the inhabitants of Earth as we enter a new geological era – the Anthropocene. As interdependent humans we face an imperative to create novel ways of mitigating these interconnected challenges.
Join us in conversation with Tony Butler (Derby Museums), Joe Smith (Smith of Derby) and Renata Tyszczuk (University of Sheffield) amongst others, to explore the stewardship of people, place and planet and open up ideas and practical approaches to inspire us to find our own ways to meet the needs of this generation, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.
– How can we position ourselves to become stewards of the future of humanity and the earth?
– How can we balance good stewardship of people, places, products, buildings and the environment?
– What fundamental changes do we need to make?
