Are you full of great ideas and things to share?
We need makers and artists to help us shape an exciting project that we are planning to launch across the Midlands in 2020.
Help us inspire the makers of the future through the Midlands Maker Challenge.
What is the Midlands Maker Challenge?
The Midlands Maker Challenge is an exciting programme from Derby Museums driven by the new Museum of Making at Derby Silk Mill’s vision to empower a new generation of young people to become creators, makers and innovators.
The Challenge will facilitate skills and development opportunities drawing on the rich manufacturing and cultural heritage of the Midlands.
The Challenge is powered by STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths – and will pose design challenges to develop solutions to local issues that can be applied globally.
Come to one of our first ‘ideation’ workshop; a fun session where we will ask questions to prompt discussion and creativity. All ideas are welcome. No idea is a bad idea.
As well as sharing your thoughts, come for coffee, cake and a chance to network with other artists and makers and see the newly launched World Collections Gallery at Derby Museums.
