Visitor Experience Assistants – Museum of Making

Exciting things are about to happen!

Very soon the doors of Derby’s new Museum of Making will be opening to the public for the very first time. On the site of the world’s first factory, this project has been designed to inspire those who visit with new creativity, whilst showcasing Derby’s 300 year history of making and celebrating the areas rich history of innovation. Designed and made by the people and Industries of Derby, the Museum of Making is truly unique and will be a must-visit destination for those in the East Midlands and beyond.

To make this experience even more exceptional, we are looking for happy and energetic people to join our Visitor Experience Team and help celebrate and share this inspirational story. As a member of the team you will have excellent communication skills and will love having conversations and making connections. An eye for detail and a positive, proactive attitude is a must, as well as being absolutely committed to ensuring everyone enjoys their visit to the Museum of Making.

As the welcoming face of everything we do, we are looking for people who are open minded and able to respond to any challenge or opportunity that may arise. Bags of energy, enthusiasm and passion are what you will bring to the role and we will make sure that you have the very best training and environment to deliver a world class visitor experience.

We are recruiting to a wide range of part time and flexible positions with permanent contracts. All salaries will be based on the National Living Wage and we are keen to see applications from people of all backgrounds and communities.

Other benefits: 20 days (pro rata) + bank holidays, pension, mileage allowance payable on authorised business travel.
