Venue Hire Assistant

The Role
Derby Museums is looking for an energetic and motivated Venue Hire Assistant to work alongside the Venue Hire Manager supporting with a high number of events, ranging from small meetings to awards ceremonies and weddings across the three Derby Museums’ sites. The role includes but is not limited to;
- Assisting the Venue Hire Manager with logistical and administrative support
- Maintaining and updating records of all bookings
- Providing client quotations and conducting show rounds
- Proactively seeking new business, research and following leads
- Flexibility to attend events when required in the evenings and at weekends

The Person
We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual passionate about providing excellent customer service and committed to the delivery of high-quality events. To excel at this role, you’ll be organised, confident, efficient, pro-active with lots of initiative. Importantly you’ll have outstanding organisational and time management skills, be personable and presentable with the ability to multi-task.

Hours: Full time 37 hours
Salary: £18,217 to £20,302
Contract Type: Permanent
Employee Benefits: 20 days (pro rata) + bank holidays, flexible working, mileage allowance payable on authorised business travel.
