We sent Kath a few questions to discover more about her. Here is what she had to say…
- Many of the people that Joseph Wright painted chose to be depicted with an object that tells us something about them as a person. What object would you choose and why?
The object I would like to be painted with would be my iPad. I love doing research into eighteenth century history, architecture and people, family tree research, plus scouring the internet for anything to do with wildlife conservation, photography and keeping in touch with family and friends.
- If you could be any animal from the Nature Gallery, which would you be and why?
From the nature gallery, I would be any of the fossils…dinosaurs etc have been a passion of mine since I was a child, plus I have worked for so many years in the museum, that I think I have earned the right to be a fossil!
- What makes you happy?
Being around friends and family makes me happy… and a bottle of red wine.
- What do you love to do in your spare time? (Aside from working at the museum, obviously)
I love doing any of the above, plus walking my dog, watching wildlife, photography and wood turning.
