Bill Hindmarsh
Schools Programmer

Meet Bill, our Schools Programmer. We asked him some questions to get to know him better, here is what we discovered…
- Many of the people that Joseph Wright painted chose to be depicted with an object that tells us something about them as a person. What object would you choose and why?
A pencil. You can write and draw with it in a personal and expressive way, use in conjunction with an eraser and other materials, and brandish authoritatively in meetings. It requires no battery, sim card or wifi. It is its own app. - If you could be any animal from the Nature Gallery, which would you be and why?
I’d be the Great Bustard. I’d enjoy people calling my name. - What makes you happy?
Laughing. Preferably in the company of others. - What do you love to do in your spare time? (Aside from working at the museum, obviously)
I don’t work at the museum in my spare time. If I find any spare time, I put it in a jar and save it for later.
