About

An elegant Georgian town house built by the prominent architect Joseph Pickford in 1770 as his family home.

Pickfords House was the home of an Enlightenment family. The home is where we have our closest relationships where we eat, sleep, and find comfort and love. Behind the doors we express our most intimate feelings, and gather possessions that identify us. Pickford’s House should help us reflect on our own lives. To understand the world and our city, we could first try to know ourselves.
