Standard session
- 1.5 hour session at £4.00 + VAT per pupil costs £100.00 + VAT for 25 pupils (minimum) / £140.00 + VAT for 35 pupils (maximum)
Make and Take session
- 2 hour session at £5.00 + VAT per pupil costs £125.00 + VAT for 25 pupils (minimum)/ £175.00 + VAT for 35 pupils (maximum)
Outreach sessions
- Outreach is available for some sessions at £6.00 + VAT per pupil. Depending on the location of the school, prices may be higher to cover travel costs. Please enquire.

Visit Information
Teachers are welcome to visit the Museum prior to the school visit and are welcome to book a pre visit planning meeting.
After booking teachers are sent a Preparing for Your Visit pack
For classes of 30 children, we recommend 5 accompanying adults
A copy of Derby Museum’s risk assessment will be sent with your booking confirmation and can also be found on our website. This is a guide only and is not intended to replace your own risk assessment or any paperwork you are required to complete for your school. Please share copies of the risk assessment with your accompanying teachers and helpers.
Coaches can drop off outside the Museum and Art Gallery on Cheapside and outside Pickford’s House on Friar Gate. Mini buses and cars can park free of charge in Pickford’s House car park, accessed from Agard St.
Free lunch room facilities are available on request but must be pre-booked. It is kindly requested that pupils dispose of their rubbish in the bins provided.

Visiting groups are very welcome to visit our shop. You can also pre-order reasonably priced, themed goody-bags – please ask for more information when you book.

Access
The Museum & Art Gallery is fully accessible.
At Pickford’s House, wheelchair access is limited to the ground floor, lower ground floor and garden. Toilets at this site are only accessible via stairs to the first floor.
