Henry Moore: Threads of Influence

15 October 2022 - 15 January 2023

A Touring Exhibition from the Sainsbury Centre

Spanning Henry Moore’s career, from early life drawings and carvings to iconic drawings and late prints, this exhibition demonstrates the multiple facets of Moore’s practice. A range of related objects from the Sainsbury Centre Collection will illuminate Moore’s work anew, demonstrating how he was informed by disparate cultures and contexts.

The exhibition includes life drawings of the human form that laid the foundation for Moore’s ongoing sculptural practice, as well as drawings from his time as an official War Artist. It explores Moore’s influences over the years from artists such as Henri Gaudier-Brzeska and Jacob Epstein, to ancient sculpture from Mexico and beyond.

Suitable for all.
