Object Responses- Remake at The Silk Mill

Sunday 29th September

2pm – 4pm
Derby Museum and Art Gallery
No need to book, just drop in

The development of the Silk Mill (ground floor phase one) is progressing well and we have some very exciting projects underway.
At each stage of the project we are eager to involve as many people as possible. One of the areas we are currently exploring is the way that we interpret our objects and we would love you to be a part of this process.

We’d like to to build on our bank of interpretive text by representing other voices, opinions and ideas. Your words and feedback will inform how we develop our approach in the future.

This initial drop in activity will be very informal and you won’t need to prepare anything in advance. We’ll be there to give you an overview of the Silk Mill project and reveal a selection of objects and images for you to discuss and respond to. We’ll ask you to note down your thoughts, memories and ideas and we’ll take notes of our own too. We may also record some of your responses using sound or video recording.
